As part of the VFM celebration of Veteran’s Day, a gathering of WW2 vets was given recognition by the members of the Liberty Jump Team and rides in the GGA DC-3. The busy day continued with the Brantley helicopter buzzing around the patch on a test flight and the T-37 Tweet also displayed its fearsome sound as the 6000 pound dog whistle. Heck of a day in Frederick OK! Kay was videod taxiing over to the Airborne Demonstration Team’s ramp. They dropped several strings of paratroopers from their C-47’s to celebrate the 100th birthday of the last living Pathfinder pilot from D Day. Lt Col David Hamilton flew C-47’s in WW2. A-26’s in Korea and then F-86D’s. He had some grand stories to tell. What a remarkable man to have done all of these things and still be sharp as ever.
