Bohr’s atomic model, proposed in 1913, was groundbreaking in explaining the hydrogen atom’s structure and the quantization of electron orbits. However, it has limitations and is not entirely valid for explaining complex atoms. The model assumes that electrons orbit the nucleus in fixed circular paths with quantized energies, which successfully explained the hydrogen atom’s spectral lines but couldn’t accurately predict spectra for larger atoms or account for more intricate electron interactions.
